Untangling the Entangled

An imagination brings light to a world that is filled with darkness, known as ''reality''. If we don't place our heads in the clouds, we will not believe that the ''sky is the limit''.

Through this piece of art, Ben Edwards, an illustrator, tries to untangle the tangled.

She, the artwork's subject, is perhaps a character of importance who is disclosing her identity from the viewer. Is she part of a battle of some sort? A female protagonist ready to kick some ass?!

Having horns isn't a natural thing, but letting our imagination take the front seat, we are allowing them to become the norm. An inviting fantasy land that we would love to call ''Home''.

Is she a perception of how someone would want to be perceived as a person?

In our own lives, we do have problems that may pull us down. We do have stresses that are sometimes hard to overcome. They could even be described as a tight knot difficult to make loose. Through the looseness of her hair, we are presented with the idea that she is strong, maybe even free minded. There are no tangles, it's able to move alone. Her lively and energetically filled hair allows us to formulate the assumption that she is confident in who she is and how she carries herself.

We don't know her name but we feel like we know so much about her. Through our skill to interpret, we learn about our preferences in art. What we would like to see and positively reflect into the world.

Our imagination becomes reality and reality becomes an illusion.
